National Public Health Week

Every year, the American Public Health Association (APHA) serves as the organizer of National Public
Health Week (NPHW) in April and develops a national campaign to educate the public, policy makers,
and practitioners about an important public health issue. The Idaho Public Health Association helps
promote healthy lifestyles in community campaigns throughout Idaho.

Grant to Idaho Public Health Association Strengthens Idaho
Response to Emerging Public Health Threats

IPHA is at a unique juncture in its history with the receipt of a three-year, $90,000.00 grant from the
APHA Affiliate Capacity-Building Initiative.  This award was made possible by support from the W.K.
Kellogg Foundation and the dedication of public health professionals in Idaho who invested their time,
energy and resources in IPHA over the past 55 years.

Idaho Public Health Portal

The Idaho Public Health Association will launch a public health portal in 2008. The portal offers a "one
stop shop" for information about health-related organizations and businesses. Member web pages are
housed on the IPHA website for easy access and are maintained by the IPHA web master.
